Welcome to my new blog.  I promise to offer you some valuable tidbits and insights regarding the world of pet care and beyond.  I may also bore you with other social issues - LOL.  As many blogs out there, I will try and keep things short and sweet.  if you have any subject matter you'd like to see covered, just let me know!  In my next blog, I will discuss my journey as a former meat eater....

Hi Jeff,
My 7 y/o Female baby girl Boxer has just been diagnosed with Kidney disease. It is at the earliest stage, & I hoped you could share some advice on diet going forward. Un the past, I have used Origin & now I use Acana, 2-2 1/2 cups, finely chopped Kale or Spinach, a raw egg (shell included) i picked up Calcium form you a few months back which I add if theres a raw protein such as the egg. they also get Omega 3 fish oil, (Ive bumped her dose to 2 capsules ....sans capsulate)
Im really freaked out that Im not giving her the best diet to keep her well. They also found some abnormalities on her spleen which we'll have rechecked in a month. The hope is that theres no new growths and if anything IS in fact there its benign. I know it's hard to identify a good owner but all I can say is I live for these guys.. seriously, I would do anything for them to make sure they stay well.
Theres a TON of back & fourth information.. I really do trust our vet with their lives, she's amazing, yet she will be the 1st to say vets don't open a single book on protein. She has given me recommendations while we wait for the follow up, Low protein diet, kibble mixed with wet, greens still ok as well as omega..
I just don't know nearly enough about this and the research is all so new and completely all over the place,, sorry for rambling, but any advise would be HUGELY appreciated..
