On March 31, 2014 my wife and I let go of our elder bull, Amber. She was 12 years 3 months old. It's only been three days and the pain is so devastating. Sharing my grief as I go along in the process is helpful to me. Over the next few blog posts, I will be sharing some of my thoughts and feelings as we grieve the loss of our beloved Pit Bull. I appreciate everyone joining me on this sad journey. Please watch Amber's video highlight of her life.

What a beautiful tribute to Amber. You gave her a wonderful life filled with love and joy and in return she gave the same to your family and others. You are an inspiration to all us pitbull owners. May you find peace in knowing she is at rest.

Such a beautiful tribute for a beautiful special girl. She excelled at being such an amazing ambassador due in part to your and Diana's guidance. It breaks my heart that you are both going through this as I know that you both just like most of us feel our pups are family...like our kids. Prayers for comfort and peace. Much love to you both <3 ((hugs))

Jeff, I am just seeing this for the first time. This is a beautiful tribute! Amber was a beautiful girl and an amazing spirit. I have always believed that our pets come to us for a reason, a lesson perhaps, that we need to learn while we are here on earth. They grace us with their unconditional love and we love them so much they are part of our family. We wish they could live as long as people do. When they leave us, I believe their beautiful spirit moves on to help another person who would need the lesson these amazing spirits have to offer. They are angels on earth. You were so blessed to have had Amber in your life and she was blessed to be in yours. Know that she will always be an Ambassador where ever her spirit goes. And you and Diana gave her a wonderful, fulfilling life! <3
